Eligibility for Free NHS Vaccinations
Flu Vaccination
You may be entitled to a free NHS flu vaccination if you fall within one of the following
You may be entitled to a free NHS flu vaccination if you fall within one of the following
categories:
- Adults aged 65 years and over
- Adults aged 18–64 years with certain long-term health conditions (including chronic heart, lung, kidney, liver or neurological disease; diabetes; BMI ≥40; immunosuppression; or severe mental illness)
- Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy
- Residents of long-stay care homes
- Carers or individuals receiving a carer’s allowance
- Household contacts of those who are severely immunocompromised
- Frontline health and social care staff
COVID-19 Vaccination (Autumn 2025 Programme)
For the autumn 2025 season, the NHS COVID-19 vaccination is being offered to individuals at highest risk of serious illness, specifically:
- Adults aged 75 years and over (may be administered alongside the flu vaccine during the same appointment)
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- Adults aged 18–74 years with a weakened immune system due to a health condition or medical treatment
Private Vaccination Services
For individuals who do not meet the eligibility criteria for NHS-funded vaccinations, we
provide private services as follows:
- Private flu vaccination – £18.99 *Subject to Availability*
NHS Children’s Flu Vaccinations (Ages 2–3 Years)
We are pleased to offer in-pharmacy flu vaccinations for children aged 2–3 years.
- Vaccine provided: Usually administered as a nasal spray (Fluenz Tetra). An injectable alternative is available if clinically appropriate.
- Appointment details: Each appointment includes an eligibility check, completion of the
NHS consent form, and post-vaccination guidance. Appointments typically last 10–15
minutes.
- Important considerations: Please inform us in advance if your child has an egg allergy, severe asthma, or is undergoing treatment for flu. A parent or legal guardian must be present at the appointment.
